Patch Middleton
sound designer/composer/theatre maker

Patch Middleton is a sound designer, composer, and theatre maker from Cumbria and based in Greater Manchester.
His work often explores the strange and fantastical, folklore and urban legend, and our relationship to landscape. He is particularly interested in pieces that bend and break with form and narrative structure.
Recent work includes a sell-out run of Scenes from a Repatriation by Joel Tan at The Royal Court Theatre, and Radiant Boy by Nancy Netherwood at The Southwark Playhouse.
He is the co-artistic director of Obscura Theatre with director Emily Oulton, with which he is working on a new musical about nuclear power: A Shanty for an Atomic Town.
